Here’s a professional step-by-step guide on how to pack glass vials safely, whether for medical, lab, or industrial purposes:

Vial trays (plastic or foam inserts with holes)

Shrink wrap or parafilm (for seal security)

Bubble wrap or foam sheets

Inner carton box (compartmented or partitioned)

Outer corrugated shipping box

Labels and documentation (e.g., batch, expiry, safety info)

📦 Step-by-Step Packing Process:

1. Inspect and Clean
   Ensure all vials are intact, dry, and sealed properly.

If sterile, ensure sterile conditions during handling (gloves, cleanroom, etc.).

2. Seal Vials
   Use caps, rubber stoppers, and aluminum seals (crimped) as required.

For extra protection, wrap neck with parafilm or shrink seal.

3. Place in Vial Tray or Foam Insert
   Insert each vial upright into a foam or plastic tray that prevents movement.

If unavailable, custom-cut foam or molded blister inserts can be used.

4. Add Secondary Cushioning
   Wrap the tray in bubble wrap or insert it into a tight-fitting inner box with foam padding.

Ensure no direct vial-to-vial contact.

5. Use Moisture Control (if needed)
   Place desiccant packets if vials contain moisture-sensitive contents.
6. Place in Outer Box
   Put the inner box inside a rigid, corrugated outer carton with at least 2-3 cm padding on all sides.

Fill gaps with cushioning material (e.g., air pillows, foam peanuts).

   Apply “Fragile”, “This Side Up”, or “Temperature Sensitive” labels.
